Rite Aid Shop 4/10-4/16

This week's shop was not as well planned as I thought...I had good intentions but a poor delivery.
I blame being 300 days pregnant...
my mind gets be-jig-ity with the baby boy hormones.

So I did two shops and the first one was a fail.  But I got the L'oreal Shampoo/Conditioners that I "needed" for the stockpile so it was worth it for me.  Kind of.  Until I messed up and spend $1.98 over what I wanted too and had to PAY for my shop.  Which I hate to do, I am always trying to get out of the store and just pay tax.

Ok come to think of it I did three shops this week, but the VERY first one was just meh...I read on several msg boards that people were getting UP+'s for purchasing 2 Gillette and 2 OS Body Wash in the same transaction.  Yeah nooo.
Not so much.
I guess I misunderstood or they didn't know what they were talking about.  So those are going back to the store...$6 back in my pocket.

Shop #1 I am not going into

Shop #2 (sorry no pic, just use your imagination..lol)
4 L'oreal Vive Pro Shampoo/Conditioners -- $2.50 each ($2 UP+ wyb 2)
1 Scunci Hair Clippy Glittery thing for Bonnie (cuz she was such a good girl) -- $3.99
1 bag of Sour Patch Gummy Bunnies -- $1.99 (where I blew it OOP wise)

Coupons I used:
$3/15 from Survey
4 $1/1 L'oreal Vive Pro from here
$7 UP+'s

Subtotal: $1.98
Total OOP: $2.92

Earned $4 in Up+'s

Shop #3
8 Physicians Make Up on clearance 75% off -- $1.49-$3.73 (not what I needed at all but I wanted the peelies I had to create overage to pay for my cough drops)
26 RA Brand Cough Drops -- .50 each ($1 Up+ wyb 2)

Coupons I used:
$4/1 Physician's Formula Peelies on the front of the products!!

Subtotal: .82 cents
Total OOP: $2.61

Earned $13 in UP+'s

There was a huge bin of 75% make up and other random stuff at the random Rite Aid I shopped at today so I grabbed all the products that I thought my Mother and sister in law would use.  There were more make up products there but I didn't want to clean the store out because I totally hate when people do that to me.
Buuuut I wanted to, I am not gonna lie.  LOL.

I also gave a few packages of cough drops to my mom because I think she uses them as candy...lol.  It seems like every time I see her I give her cough drops and yet she is always out of them.

So it wasn't a huge haul like I wanted but I am always daydreaming about getting 38943 items and only paying tax.

Plus, I added some things to the stockpile that we needed.  I have not bought shampoo or conditioner in a deal shop in over a year because I got about 30 John Frieda Shampoo and Conditioners on clearance at CVS for .13 plus q's so it was a GIANT Money Maker.  And we were getting down to the last few sets because we have used/donated so many over the past 12+ months.

If I can convince my Jet Pilot to drive me to another local Rite Aid on one our trips off base I may try for more clearance make up and more cough drops...I will have to make the sad face and beg but it would be worth it.  I hate to drive at this late stage in my pregnancy...I feel like blimp all day anyways and then to put a steering wheel in front of me and its just a recipe for a cranky pants mama.

**After I return my Body Washes back to Rite Aid it will be like I spent just change OOP to pay for my shops, so I guess that's good.  And I have also added to my UP+'s so I am always liking that.  I just wish I was better at pre-planning for my shops so I don't go back 2-3 times a week.
I hate to drive.
I like to passenger seat it.  Its where I am most comfortable.

Soooo....you get anything good this week at Rite Aid??

Rite Aid take 1, 2 and 3

I have been reading several blogs who's writers are Rite Aid deal stalkers.  I like Rite Aid its a nice enough store but before they initiated their +UP's Program I was not one to be down for their Single Check Rebate Program (which they still offer), I only feel this way because I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE high OOP.  I know I shouldn't, especially if you end up getting the money back like Rite Aid's SCR program but I just can't wrap my head around it.
I dunno, just dumb I guess.
But I decided to jump head first into Rite Aid where I knew I could have a low OOP scenario with a fair amount of Rite Aid +UP's (Rite Aid dollars) back.
And it worked.
So I having been trying to work the deals every week.
And so far Rite Aid has been good to me.  Better than CVS even and I love CVS--ALOT.

This is 3 shops combined and I am on the verge of going in for a 4th trip but I think I might be overdoing it.  The only thing pushing me to go in again is because my mom and mother in law could greatly benefit from some of these items!!

Rite Aid is extremely difficult for me to explain to another human being so if you are interested in joining in the Rite Aid fun then I would suggest heading over to West Coast Savings or I Prefer Publix or The Great Shopping Game, they do a much better job than I do and make it look very easy!!

Rite Aid Shop for the week of 9/19-9/25

Quickie shop, I saw posted on this forum that the Flameless Luminaries were on clearance at Rite Aid for $3.99 and with the $4/1 coupon from the New Home Made Simple Booklets or 8/29 P&G's--can you say FREEBIE!!!

Transaction #1:
3 Febreze Flameless Luminaries-- $3.99 each on 75% clearance

Coupons I used:
3 $4/1 Febreze Flameless Luminaries (my coupons were from the HMS Booklets, but there are some in the 8/29 P&G's I just didn't look close enough because I was in rush to get home after church!)

Subtotal:  -.03 cents
Tax: .84 cents
Total OOP: .81 cents!!
Totally worth it for some smell good!!!  I wish there was more than one Rite Aid in my area because I would stalk them all for some Free Air Fresheners!!

CHECK OUT THE REST OF THE RITE AID DEALS HERE

If anyone wants to stalk the Rite Aids in their areas and wants a few coupons just email me and I would be willing to part with some for a SASE.  Email addy in the PR/Media Kit tab!!

CVS Shop #2 for the week of 9/12-9/18

The sales for this shop are over but I wanted to highlight the deal only because I wanted to touch on travel size/coupons a bit.   Technically there are a ton of coupons that DO NOT exclude trial sizes, and there are a ton that DO.  I usually am not one to go for the travel size deals only because it always seems more hassle to me than its worth.  Tide usually releases a $1/1 any size coupon each other month and at some major retailers they sell the one load sample size in the travel size section.  Some people stalk this deal and snatch up 10, 20, etc..of these.
I do not.  Ever.
I don't think its a bad deal for those do, I do not think its misuse of the coupon to use it to purchase the Tide sample size, I just personally don't want to deal with a 3 ft stack of Tide samples in my laundry room.
But I will do the travel size game for some things.  Like face wash.
This is something nice to pass on to my family cross country and its nice for Jet Pilot when he go on his out of town cross country trips.
I have read where some deal bloggers say that these companies will release these types of coupons for marketing/pr reasons to get people to try to their product, get hooked and buy full price big size.  Which I can sort of understand that argument.
In all honesty though, I dunno what I think-again I think its all about your comfort level.

Okay so enough of the blog fodder/soapbox here's the shop

Transaction #1:
7 Clean and Clear Face Wash-- .99 cents each
Bubbles-- .39 cents
Alive Vitamins for Women-- $9.99 (there was a coupon for these but I didn't have it)

Coupons I used:
$3/15 CVS q that I traded for on this forum
(for some reason this coupon would not go through, cashier had to manually put it in and when she did she pushed it through for $5 off, not $3 off....I told her that because I am a huge believer in coupon karma but she said meh...so meh...then.)
7 $1/1 Clean and Clear also traded for on the forum
.99 cents ECB
$5.00 ECB adjusted down to $4.39 (she went to fast I wasn't able to do the math quick enough in my head to figure out how much I had to spend to use the full $5 value.  I hate to use less than the full value..I don't like to go lower than 3 cents below face value-yes I am that cheap.  But I guess I can't really split hairs over .60 cents...but still...in the mind of a couponer .60 cents is the non couponer's equivalent to like a $5 bill.  LOL)

Subtotal: 00.00
Tax: .55 cents
Total OOP: .55 cents on Money card so technically nothing!!

I still have a little less than a dollar on my money card so I will probably get one more week out of it and then I am back to my change bag again.  I carry a small sandwich bag filled with change into CVS and I pay with that every week.  Yes,  I think my cashiers hate me but I do what I do to stretch my husband's income to the very limit and make those coins my slave!!

Ok it's official I think I need an intervention

I mean it.
Someone needs to step in and slap me.
I have gone over the edge--with the dish soap.  I went to Wal-Mart, in search of the .97 cent bottles of Gain Dish Soap.
I know.  I know.  I am blushing as I type...and for a brown skinned Mexican girl that's not an easy task.  But I was on the tail end of my seemingly endless supply of Gain coupons and I could not pry them from my hot little hand.
So I went to spend the Gift Card I won here and get something for my kids, because they are good kids and I wanted to splurge on them.  Well when I got there I told myself "No I am not going down the dish soap aisle, I DO NOT need to go down that aisle..." but then we happened to peruse the girls clothes and that's SORT OF close to the dish soap/cleaner aisle so I seriously felt the pull of the universe to go down that aisle and just "check".  Bonnie just rolled her eyes when I said I want to go down this aisle "real quick", she may be young but she knows her mama has been stalking the dish soap aisle in every store we have gone into lately.
Bad Idea.
They had Gain Dish Soap in stock.
A lot.  More than I have coupons.  Tons more.
Call it animal magnetism, call me a crazy coupon stockpile hoarder, I dunno.  But I bought 12 more, and came home and traded the remainder of my coupons on my coupon trading forum I use.  (Check that forum out here if you are interested.  Its a smaller forum but I really like it.)

There, its off my chest.
Still feeling embarrassed but I DO feel better that I traded the coupons.  It was like the curse of the lottery with those coupons.  I am glad they are out of my house. ; )

The Air Freshener I just bought because Jet Pilot was in dire need of some refreshment in his truck to get that "smell" out (imagine a fragrant mixture of a Jet Pilot who has spent the last few hours on overdrive with sweat glands, adrenaline and leather seats that only 2384793 other Jet Pilots have sat in before him doing heavens only knows in those seats, Jet Fuel, and Big Black Jet Pilot Boots )! Yeah, I welcome that home everyday...its nice. I love it.  I really do.  I just like to give him a hard time.

CVS Shop for the week of 9/12-9/18

My shop this week was pretty cut and dry, I wanted to do some ECB Rollover so I just went for the items that generated ECB's that we would use.  When I walked in, right in front of the store there was some 90% summer clearance so I grabbed some stuff that I thought the kids would use.  I had no coupons for this shop, there was one for the Nivea Body Wash but I forgot about it until I was in the store so oh well.  Can't win em all.

Transaction #1:
Bubble Bonanza-- .49 cents
Nivea Body Wash-- $4.99
Bubbles-- .25 cents
Gross Candy Corn for Jet Pilot-- .99 cents
Energy Chews-- $1.99

Coupons I used:
None (so sad to type that...lol)
$6 ECB's
Subtotal: $2.71
Tax: .54
Total OOP: $3.25 on my money card so really nothing Out on My Pocket

FYI, I tried the energy things this afternoon as a way to spark my Sunday lull in motivation and while I think it worked and I was like a maid on crack for about 8 hours...it tasted like dirt mixed with grapes...but I may try them again.  Also the energy chews are limit 2 not one like the ad says.  And the Nivea deal is spend $15 get $5 ECB too.  Good to know...maybe some good coupons will be come out to make it a better deal.

P.S. I think the "Energy" type of Nivea Body Wash is not included in the deal since initially my $4.99 ECB did not print and I had to take the cashier to the see the signage in the aisle and she manually printed them for me.  So watch the type of Body Wash if you go in to do this deal.

SOOO, YOU GET ANYTHING GOOD THIS WEEK AT CVS??

CVS Shop for the week of 9/5-9/11 Take 2

I know I posted about CVS for this week (you can read about that here) BUT I
had some time sans kids and husband so I decided to peruse CVS for deals, still no Schick razor coupons but oh well.  I need more razors like I need a third eye.  It was a random shop and I decided not to spend any ECB's just less than $1.00 in change out of pocket.  Well my plan worked, sort of. I got another $3/10 Grocery Purchase and I knew again I was going to apply it to my Sobe deal so I had $3 in overage to work with. After it was all said and done I spent less than a dollar but I had to do a return and get the difference put on a money card.  But it spends all the same so meh.

Transaction #1:
8 Sobe Lifewater-- $1.59 each
4 Dawn Hand Renewal --.77 cents each (I am soo loving that these are on sale, I wish I had more Dawn q's from the Home Made Simple Booklet but I KNOW I am just being greedy..this is just my favorite dish soap.)
1 Crest Toothpaste (on clearance)-- $1.22
4 Oral B Toothbrushes (on clearance)-- .94 cents each
8 Clean and Clear Face Wash-- .99 cents each

Coupons I used:
$3/10 Grocery Purchase CRT from Magic Coupon Machine
4 B1G1 Sobe Lifewater IP from here
3 .25/1 Dawn Dish Soap from HMS Booklet
1 .75/1 Crest Toothpaste from 8/29 P&G
4 .75/1 Oral B Toothbrush from 8/29 P&G
8 $1/1 Clean and Clear from ?? inserts (I won these coupons online so I am not sure what inserts these are from but you could check here if you are super curious..)

Now here is where it gets muddy, originally when I paid my OOP was $5.59, which I knew was wrong but I figured I would get my receipt, look it over and if I needed a credit or return I would get back in line.  The discrepancy was that my toothpaste rung up as $4.89 instead of $1.22 ($4.89 are they crazy?? Who pays that much for toothpaste..rich people I guess..lol).  So the girl refunded me $5.23 on a CVS Money Card and I re-bought the toothpaste at the correct price minus the q.  My total on that was .56 cents.  And I have $4.67 left on the card, this is how I figured my total was less than $1.00 OOP.  $5.59-$4.67= .92 cents!!

I know its not the most clear shop to post but I think its important that people see and know that all shops definitely get sketchy and when someone posts that all their shops rocked and were cake, that's just not realistic every single time you are in the store.  I don't CVS Shop hardcore like some of the people I follow online, I don't buy every single thing that generates ECB's each week, mainly because well, about half of it is junk.  In my opinion.  I think its great that some people rock the sales and have $89454 in ECB's each week but I am not one of those shoppers.  I like to go to CVS and challenge myself to spend mere change and get functional stuff we will use in our household.  Dish soap, body wash, shampoo, etc...that's why I CVS.   Food deals I usually pass on as well, because I can usually score better deals at the commissary, its different for everyone.  I used to buy everything at CVS that generated ECB's when I first started coupon-ing but then I realized I was not going to use half of this stuff so I stopped.

I think its important for all coupon-ers to find their niche with stores, some buy all, some buy very little, I like to think I am somewhere in the middle.  I work CVS deals at my comfort level, and that's a different place for everyone.  It took me months of working CVS to finally feel comfortable with shopping there.  Now its my favorite place to shop, so go figure.

I know this is random blog/coupon fodder but I just wanted to throw my .02 into the melting pot of coupon talk.  Hope I didn't bore you, and if I did just act like I didn't so you don't hurt my feelings... ;)

HAPPY CVS-ING!!

CVS Shop for the week of 9/5-9/11

My intentions were to get some things that actually generated ECB's but this week there was not much to get....and I did not have the $5/1 Schick Hydro Razor q and there was no way I was going to "Pay" for a razor.  I scanned my Extra Care card and low and behold I got a $3/10 Grocery Purchase.  This was perfect because I wanted to do the B1G1 Sobe deal and pair it with the B1G1 IP, so I had some overage to work with.  Good cashiers, good clearance finds...good shop over all.

Transaction #1:
2 Bounty Basic 2 pack paper towels (on clearance)-- $1.00
10 Sobe Lifewater-- $1.59 each
Ice cream scoop (on clearance)-- .25 cents
2 Plastic Flatware sets (on clearance)-- .49 cents each
4 Dawn Hand Renewal-- .77 cents each (did not know these were on sale, nice surprise)
2 Sand Playsets (other set was outside in the dirt already)-- $1.49 each
1 Boyish Kickboard (not pictured, Clyde was already playing with outside)-- $1.75

Coupons I used:
$3/10 Grocery CRT
$1/2 CVS Brand Plasticware CRT
2 $1/1 Bounty Paper Towels from the P&G YOS Booklet
5 B1G1 Sobe IP from here
3 $1/1 Dawn Hand Renewal from HMS Booklet
1.25/1 Dawn from HMS Booklet

Subtotal: $1.79
Total Tax: $1.05
Total OOP: $2.84

I was really happy with my shop and was glad to get all the beach toys because we had a trip to the coast planned for the next day.

So did you score anything good this week at CVS??

Dollar General Shop

I don't usually shop at DG, but for some free dish soap...I will.  Ran in real quick and scoured the store for the elusive Gain, I found 5 bottles and scooped them up.  Then when I went to check out I nearly ran into a moody cashier, she did the thorough CSI inspect on my coupons, read EVERY SINGLE WORD on them, went to ask the CSM, hovered over the register and then finally hit total.  Phew, crisis averted.

 Transaction #1:
5 Gain Dish Soap-- $1.00 each

Coupons I used:
5 $1/1 Gain Dish Soap from the 8/29 P&G
Subtotal: 0.00
Tax: .35 cents
Total OOP: .35 cents!!

LOVE THAT!!

Rite Aid Shop for the week of 8/29-9/4

Rite Aid was good to me this week, I didn't get anything that generated Up+ Rewards but meh, I HATE to spend more than a $1 OOP for my drug store shops.  I know that's a slightly unrealistic goal sometimes and I know that with SCR's you get the money back at the end of the month but I just can't bring myself to fork out the funds every Sunday and then wait to get it back at the end of the month.
I know I am a lame-o, but everyone has their own shopping/coupon style and this just happens to be mine.
Anyways, I digress...always going off on the random tangents...lol

I got:
17 Gain Dish Soap-- .89 cents each
Coupons I used:
16 $1/1 Gain Dish Soap

Subtotal: -.87 cents
Tax: $1.06
Total OOP: .19 CENTS!!!

WOOT WOOT!! And for those coupon-ers that may ask...no I did not clear the shelves by any means, this store was STOCKED with like 3 shelves full of dish soap...which I thought was kind of random (I live in a VERY SMALL town in the middle of nowhere and this is the only Rite Aid for miles) but maybe they anticipated tons of people coming in to buy dish soap.  But honestly, I wanted to clear the shelves...I send this type of stuff to my family in Washington and California, because I believe if I can help them out then I should.  That's a huge part of why I coupon, I am a nurturer, see a need fill a need.  And besides who doesn't need dish soap??

I have more Gain coupons and I am VERY tempted to go back to Rite Aid and grab up a few more but that's the greedy person in me talking so I am going to fight the urge.

SOOOOO whatdidya get this week at Rite Aid??  Or CVS?  Or WAGS??

For the full rundown on Rite Aid deals you can check them out here

CVS Shop for the week of 8/22-8/28

I decided to hit CVS late Saturday night on the way home from a friend's house.  Jet Pilot was not too thrilled with the idea of the late night trip but I just knew that I would find everything in stock at this hour and I knew that Jet Pilot would not want to go shopping tomorrow after church.  I did 4 transactions and here is the breakdown.

Transaction #1:
2 Glade Sense N Spray-- $5 each

Coupons I used:
2 $3/1 Glade Sense N Spray from the 7/11 SS (expired 8/21...phew just made it..there are some IP's on coupons.com but my CVS is not taking IP's at the moment so I have to go with insert coupons.  Thank goodness I had some!)
$4 in ECB's

Subtotal: 0.00
Tax: .70 cents
Total OOP: .70 cents!!
Earned $3 ECB

Transaction #2:
2 Crest Pro Health toothpastes-- $3.49 each

Coupons I used:
2 .75/1 Crest Toothpastes from 8/1 P&G
$5 in ECB's

Subtotal:.48
Tax: .49
Total OOP: .97 cents
Earned $5 ECB

Transaction #3:
Gillette Fusion Proglide Razor-- $9.97
Fantasy Football Magazine-- $6.99
(for Jet Pilot...yeah I know...burned through the ECB's but meh, better to pay tax on something than actually PAY for it, IMHO)

Coupons I used:
$4/1 Gillette Fusion Razor from 8/1 P&G
$12.96 ECB

Subtotal: 0.00
Tax: $1.19
Total OOP: $1.19
Earned $5 ECB

Transaction #4:
10 Vitamin Water--$1.00 each
$10 in ECB's
No coupons used (I think there are some Vitamin Water tearpads out there but I did not have them and did not think far enough in advance to try to trade for them, cuz yeah, I am that dense sometimes..lol)

Subtotal: $0.00
Tax: .70 cents
Total OOP: .70 cents
Earned $5 ECB

It was a good haul and I am pleased with what I got, I spent $3.56 and earned $18 in ECB's.  Not bad at all...because I would have paid that for 3 Vitamin Water...Jet Pilot like trendy hip drinks, he's a snob that way...lol.  But I love him anyway!!

CVS Shop for the week of 8/16-8/22

I was in and out in a flash this week...mostly because I went in on Saturday night and I just wanted to test the Sobe deal and make sure they let me use the B1G1 IP on a B1G1 deal...and they did!  PHEW!!  I will probably go back this week and try to get more Sobe and the MM deals.  But if I don't make it back I am not going to sweat it....I am realizing that I can not kill myself over getting "THE MAXIMUM ECB ROLLOVER" each week.  It makes me crazy and takes time away from my family.
In case you can't see thats me getting down off the soapbox...aaanndd I'm off.

Transaction #1:
8 Right Guard Deodorants-- $4.49 each
6 Sobe LifeWaters-- $1.59 each

(and no I did not clear the shelves on the deodorants...for some random reason this store had about 40 Right Guard deodorants...I was like "oh my..stinky folks in Mississippi!!")

Coupons I used:
4 B1G1 Right Guard Deodorants from 7/25 RP
(I think I could have used $1/1 Right Guard IP from coupons.com to turn it into a MM but meh...I was with Jet Pilot and did not want to troll CVS for something to get with my overage.  And besides it was FREE, so I opted against being a coupon glutton....this time at least...lol)
3 Sobe B1G1 IP from here

Subtotal: .00
Tax: .59 cents
Total OOP: .59 cents

Rite Aid Shop for the week of 8/1-8/7

Okay,  I like Rite Aid but I am just getting my feet wet so I am very cautious in my shops there.  I read on different message boards that there is a huge MM on Crest Pro Health Rinse (find out more info on that deal here) and I decided to chance it and see what my store was working with.  Well I had already gone to CVS at this point and I used 3 of my 5 Crest coupons there but I was banking on RA not being stocked with enough bottles of mouthwash to do the deal-well they were stocked.
And I did not have enough coupons.
I had only planned on paying $7 and turning it into $13 MM, well since I did not have enough coupons my figures would have been switched $13 OOP and a $7 MM.
Nope not acceptable...I don't think I have ever spent $13 at a drugstore on ANYTHING and I was not about to start today.
I am going to try to get my hands on 2 more Crest coupons and maybe make it back there before Saturday, but if not, meh there will be another deal, there always is.
Here is my amended shopping trip, I got:

Transaction #1:
4 Bounty Basic-- $1.29 each
4 Papermate Pens-- $1.99

Coupons I used:

B1G3 Promo on Pens so essentially $1.99 for 4 packs of pens or .50 each
4 $1/1 any Bounty Towel from Home Mailer and YOS Booklets
$3 UP+ Reward
Subtotal: .15
Tax: .50
Total: .65 cents!!!

And I earned .50 UP+ from buying the pens

Good shop but it could be better!!  I will try again in hopes of scoring the Crest deal!!
Check out the rest of the Rite Aid deals here!!

CVS Shop for the week of 8/1-8/7

It was a great week this week at CVS!! And luck was on my side (thankfully) and my transaction went smoothly-PHEW!!  I think I could have done smaller transactions and paid less OOP but I had both kids with me and I just wanted to get it done.  As it is I usually say I am going for a quick run to CVS and end up spending 40 minutes in there when I have the munchkins.
Not ideal.
Here is what I got:

Transaction #1:
6 Sobe Lifewaters-- $1.59 each
4 Clean and Clear Face Washes-- .99 each
1 Fusion ProGlide-- $9.99
3 Crest Pro Health Rinse-- $3.99
1 Vicks Vapo Steam Vaporizer-- $4.99
1 Vicks Cough Syrup-- $1.87
1 Vicks Flu + Vitamin C Cold Meds-- $1.37
3 Dawn Hand Renewal Dish Soaps-- .99 each

Coupons I used:

So I kinda burned some ECB's on the medicine but I will most likely give it to my mom because we try not to take OTC medicine (yeah I know we are weird) and the vaporizer was just a good buy for the price ($3.50!!)-- its nice to have on hand when we get stuffed up during cold season.

All in all I say I had a good trip....check out the rest of the CVS deals here!!

Quickie Winn Dixie Shop

I had 2.5 evening hours 100% to myself this week (husband is flying like a maniac and kids were at VBS in the evening??) so I decided to coupon hunt for random peelies, tearpads etc at a Winn Dixie in the area. I could take my time, go slow, stroll up and down EVERY aisle...it was nice. But naturally because I have no luck with this type of this I got squat from the random non insert coupons. But I did score with a few clearance finds. Check it out!!

I got:
6 Nexcare Cars Bandages-- .84 cents
1 Kandoo Pampers Shampoo-- $1.12
(Clyde is addicted to dumping out ALL our shampoo when he takes a bath...I am hoping this combats his urge to be wasteful!!)

Coupons I used:
6 $1/1 Nexcare- yay to .16 overage each, not a lot but I will take it!
1 $1/1 any Kandoo from a P&G like 2 months ago I think?

RIte Aid Shop(s) for the week of 7/18-7/24

I am a pretty big creature of habit...I usually only do the same things..shop the same stores...but recently I saw online through different Message Boards (WeUseCoupons, HCW, etc..) about all these great deals that people are getting at Rite Aid thru coupons and the new Wellness + Program. So as curiousity got to this cat I went...
2 days in a ROW.
**I am blushing now**

And I had a moderate degree of success, not as great as I read about online...but close, enough to keep me interested to keep going back. Here are my 2 shops

Shop #1:
1 Motrin PM-$5.99

Coupons I used:
$3/1 any Motrin PM
$3/1 in ad RA coupon
Subtotal: -.01
Tax: .42
Total OOP: .41 cents (there were other things in addition to the Motrin that I could have bought but I just wanted get a small freebie and see how it went)

Earned: $2 in Up+ Rewards

Shop #2:
2 Garnier Nutriste Towelettes- $6.29 each
6 Butterfinger- .50 each

Coupons I used:
2 $5/1 in ad Garnier Nutriste coupon
1 $2/1 VV Garnier Nutriste coupon (I tried to use 2 but the register kicked the second one back)
3 $1/2 Butterfinger Bars (scored those AWESOME coupons in a coupon trade I made here
)
Subtotal: $2.44
Tax: .32
Total OOP: $2.75

Earned: $3 Up+ from purchasing 2 Garnier (so I guess you could say it was .25 MM but I usually don't count my shops that way)

Final verdict: Yes I think as long as there are some low OOP deals and I earn Up+ rewards on them I will go back and shop Rite Aid again...the system was easy to understand and from what I read a rolling program (not like Wags-ugh I despise Wags) so its definitely going to be worth a trial period of shopping there.

really like it or really need it.
FYI I need nothing...I am hoarding a small drugstore in my home!

The Mothership called...and I answered...

When we went out of town this past weekend for Clyde's 3rd birthday we happened to be in an area where my hands down favorite grocery store ON THE PLANET was.

PUBLIX.

Yes I know its wrong to LOVE a grocery store but really, ask any extreme coupon-ing Publix shopper about the deals found at this store and really they are second to none.

So I was TOTALLY pumped to try to make a trip to Publix and see what kind of deals I could scoop up. Well true to my luck I went on the week were the deals were just meh, and most of the coupons I needed I didn't have but I made it work anyway. Thinking on my feet cuz I am just that kind of girl.

I got:

1 Suave Professionals Shampoo--$1.39
6 Sobe drinks--$1.25 each
6 Glass Plus BOGO--2/$2.49
3 Ziploc Sandwich bags--$1.99 each
1 Muir Glen Organic Tomato Sauce--.89
1 bar of Fels- Naptha--.99
2 Blocks of Chavrie Goat Cheese--$5.89 each
3 Kraft Mac N Cheese--$1.17 each
4 Loaves of Nature's Own Bread BOGO 2/$2.79
10 Kraft Sandwich Shop Mayo BOGO --$1.99

The Publix I shopped at accepted pretty much any store coupons as competitors and they doubled coupons up to .50 cents -- AWESOME!!

Coupons I used:
$5/25 from Rite Aid
Suave Professionals Free Product Coupon (from Facebook maybe?)
3 .50/1 any Sobe-doubled to $1 (from Q90X email)
3 BOGO Sobe IP from here
1 $3/1 Henkitt Product-the makers of Glass Plus (from Q90X email)
4 $1/1 Glass Plus IP from here
3 $1/1 any Ziploc from target.com
3 .40/1 Ziploc (doubled to .80)
1 $1/1 Muir Glen from coupons.com
2 Free Product Coupons from Chavrie Cheese-up to $5.50-so .39 each for me..not too shabby
3 Free Product Coupons from Kraft Mac N Cheese ( I think from FB)
4 .75/1 Nature's Own from coupons.com
10 $1/1 Kraft Sandwich Shop Mayo from the Yellow Publix Flyer
this could have been a $10 MM, but true to my inserts I did not get the $1/1 Kraft Sandwich Shop Mayo coupons and I did not think to trade for them beforehand-but they were free anyways so I guess I can't complain...

Subtotal: $2.14
Tax: $3.34
Total OOP: $5.48

Total saved:$84.76 (like I could even imagine paying that much money for not that much in groceries!!)

I totally realized that I could have used another Glass Plus IP and gotten $1 overage towards my OOP making it $4.48! I wasn't thinking I guess because I figured with the $3/1 coupon from my Q90X email I was getting them both free and I did not need to use another one. Oh well...you win some you lose some!

Still very happy with my trip and I got the Publix shop itch out of my system for awhile (or not, I just love that store!)
