Dollar General Shop

I don't usually shop at DG, but for some free dish soap...I will.  Ran in real quick and scoured the store for the elusive Gain, I found 5 bottles and scooped them up.  Then when I went to check out I nearly ran into a moody cashier, she did the thorough CSI inspect on my coupons, read EVERY SINGLE WORD on them, went to ask the CSM, hovered over the register and then finally hit total.  Phew, crisis averted.

 Transaction #1:
5 Gain Dish Soap-- $1.00 each

Coupons I used:
5 $1/1 Gain Dish Soap from the 8/29 P&G
Subtotal: 0.00
Tax: .35 cents
Total OOP: .35 cents!!

LOVE THAT!!

I didn't know that DG took coupons...I'm gonna have to remember that from now on. Thanks for the tip!

@Libby, I think they just started taking them....I found this deal from another coupon blog so naturally having 38947 DG's around here I had to stop in and try to score some free dish soap!!

I went to Family Dollar the other day to use my Tide coupons and Fabreeze. They have $1 off store coupon and I had a $2 off any tide product, and another $1 off. That should have made for $4 off and total to pay $1. I use coupons all the time there but the girl didn't know what she was doing and the Mgr was on lunch. I didn't get to use them so I just didn't get it. Now on to the fabreeze deal...I had a total of $3 off and the fabreeze was on sale for $4. Again, the girl had NO CLUE! Oh and I Should have gotten a great deal on tide Stain release but you guessed it. No clue girl strikes again. I'm going back tomorrow. Those deals were just too good! Oh and about the cashier doing the whole "CSI" thing? Yeah, depending on the cashier at any place, they will give you a hard time. They must not know how to use them... LOL!
